Founded in 2024, the Iolanthe Opera Company is bringing new perspectives to the masterworks of past centuries. We aim to foster a supportive environment where anyone can grow musically, whether they are new to the stage or seasoned pros. Our first production of The Pirates of Penzance featured over 30 volunteers from a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, including college students, emerging opera singers and Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiasts. This fall, we presented a concert version of The Magic Flute with full orchestra, and we most recently performed a singalong of Iolanthe at the Gilbert & Sullivan Society of New York.
