A new amateur opera company bringing fresh ideas to Gilbert & Sullivan, Mozart and more in central New Jersey

Founded in 2024, the Iolanthe Opera Company is bringing new perspectives to the masterworks of past centuries. We aim to foster a supportive environment where anyone can grow musically, whether they are new to the stage or seasoned pros. Our first production of The Pirates of Penzance featured over 30 volunteers from a wide variety of ages and backgrounds, including college students, emerging opera singers and Gilbert & Sullivan enthusiasts. We are currently working toward a 2025 production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute, and our next concert will take place on Sunday March 30 at the 1867 Sanctuary in Ewing, NJ.

Our next event is a free concert featuring a variety of selections from opera, musical theater and art song.
